Old Figgy
This Old Fashioned riff from Andrew Volk builds off of a delicious Maple-Fig Syrup.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Wild Turkey 101 Bourbon
- .5 oz Maple-Fig Syrup*
- 3 d Aromatic Bitters
*Maple-Fig Syrup
- 1 cup Maple Syrup
- .5 oz Hot Water
- 12 Fresh Figs
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice, and stir.
Strain into a chilled Double Old Fashioned glass over a large ice cube.
Garnish with Orange twist and skewered half-Fig.
*Maple-Fig Syrup: Combine all ingredients in a blender. Pulse until figs are evenly distributed, in tiny pieces. Pass through a fine-mesh strainer into a bottle and refrigerate for up to two weeks.
